Emily Essi Bersani is a Syracuse native with a lifelong commitment to public service and community development. After more than a decade working in the nonprofit sector, Emily brought her experience and innovative perspective to the Onondaga County Clerk's Office.
Over the past two and a half years as County Clerk, Emily has worked every day to make county government more accessible, efficient, and responsive for the people of Onondaga County. From modernizing services and improving customer experience to strengthening transparency and accountability, she has focused on delivering results that make a difference in residents' daily lives.
Emily believes government works best when it puts people first. Building on the progress already made, she is committed to continuing to expand access to services, embrace innovation, and ensure the County Clerk's Office remains a trusted resource for every resident.
